What This Assessment Measures

This assessment covers six dimensions of export readiness: IEC and DGFT compliance (Import Export Code, RCMC, GST LUT filing), product compliance for target markets (CE, FDA, BIS, or buyer-specific standards), export pricing and costing (landed cost calculation, incoterms, currency risk management), documentation readiness (commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, FSSAI/BIS/health certificates as applicable), logistics and fulfilment (freight forwarder relationships, packaging for export transit, Customs procedures), and buyer and market readiness (target market identification, buyer outreach capability, trade show participation).

Why It Matters

Exporting without readiness costs more than not exporting. Returned shipments, failed customs clearance, rejected letters of credit, buyer disputes over product compliance, and working capital tied up in receivables from difficult markets destroy the economics of early export attempts. This assessment prevents the most common and costly failures.

75–100

Export ready

Your business is prepared to begin or scale export operations. Focus on buyer identification and the specific market-entry requirements for your priority destination.

50–74

Partial readiness

IEC and basic compliance may be in place but pricing, documentation, or market-specific compliance gaps need closure before your first shipment.
