Obtain Udyam Registration

GeM requires Udyam registration for MSMEs. If you are not yet registered, complete Udyam registration at udyamregistration.gov.in using your Aadhaar and PAN. This is free and typically completed in under 30 minutes.

Register on GeM Portal

Go to gem.gov.in → Seller Registration → Primary User (Proprietor/Authorised Signatory). Create your seller profile using Aadhaar OTP authentication. The primary user must be a director or authorised signatory.

Complete Seller Profile

Fill in business details: company name, constitution (proprietorship/Pvt Ltd/LLP), turnover, employee count, registered address. Upload GST registration certificate, PAN, MSME certificate, bank account details.

ITR/Financial Verification

Upload last 3 years ITR for verification. GeM cross-verifies with the Income Tax portal. If ITR is not filed for any year, complete the ITR filing before GeM registration.

Add Products / Services

Browse GeM product categories. For each product: select the correct category, add specifications matching the GeM template, set price, add brand/make details. For services: select service category, fill the Service Level Agreement (SLA) parameters.
